Wolves versus Bolton 4/16
Jay Hollenbeck had a very good day on the mound to go
the full seven to get this win of 7-2. The
first Bolton batter of the game got on with a single, but Julian Henson and
Phillip Gibson tagged him out attempting to steal second.
In the third inning, it took just three pitches to retire Bolton’s #1
through #3 batters. Hollenbeck followed that up the next inning by striking out
their #4 and #5 batters and getting the next batter out with one pitch.

Wolves versus Bolton 4/15
Nick Adair went the full seven innings to get this
win of 7-6 against Bolton. He got
help with some all-star defensive plays in the field.
Patrick Mason was “Pac-Man” of the infield, eating up everything that
came near him and throwing out a runner at the plate. And Garrett Hatchel had an unassisted double play at third
base. Offensively, Caleb McElveen
was the only Cordova player to reach base past first, when he doubled in the
first inning. He went on to go 2
for 4 with 3 RBI’s for the day.

Wolves versus Munford 4/10
Well it wasn’t the easiest way to win a ball game,
but the Wolves hung in there to leave with a win of 7-6. After leading off four out of five innings with errors, the
Wolves settled in to play two strong, error-free innings. Nick
Adair remained composed on the mound through six innings and struck out four
batters. Adam Hampton came in to close out the game and get the win.
In the seventh, with the game tied, Rocky Escajadillo got
on with a walk and Justin Streitenberger moved him into scoring position with a
sacrifice bunt. This set the stage
for Mark Foster to send a line drive to left field to score Escajadillo.
Foster went 4 of 5 in the game, with the winning RBI.
